Please note, Mike did this presentation all week in California last week and sessions were running 2.5 hours, but Mike can reduce it if we want.
Active FoxPro Pages is a Visual FoxPro web development tool developed by ProLib in Hamburg, Germany. In Introduction to Active FoxPro Pages (AFP) Mike will explain exactly what AFP is and why VFP developers should consider using it for web development.
After the introductions are out of the way Mike will demonstrate creating a web pages and web applications with AFP.
Finally, Mike will present a preview of a set of public domain classes that
F1 Technologies is currently developing to aid VFP developers in web development. These classes provide HTML functionality to aid VFP developers in presenting and collecting data on the web as well as in site navigation.
Among the highlights of the functionality of the classes Mike will present are rendering HTML tables from VFP cursors, rendering and processing HTML forms from VFP cursors, rendering DHTML menus and sidebars from VFP cursors, rendering a site map from VFP cursors and more. Although these classes are being developed to work with AFP, they will function with any VFP compatible web technology such as West Wind WebConnection and Active Server Pages.
- Anything else people want to talk about.
Hope to see you there.
