Ken Levy leaves VFP team

The main news feature is that Ken Levy leaves VFP team. After 4.5 years with VFP team Ken accepted an offer to work as product planner working on developer community efforts in a new group within the Windows Live division at Microsoft. VS Data program manager Milind Lelee, has been working on the Sedna project since 2005 and will be responsible for SP2 for VFP 9.0. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ken once again for all his hard work as a head of Visual FoxPro team for several years, and of course, not to forget all his previous work on VFP and his efforts for all VFP community. OzFox Lite 2006

OzFox announced mini-conference OzFox Lite 2006 that will be held in Sydney on the weekend of 25 and 26 March, 2006. This is a low cost Microsoft Visual FoxPro conference for Australian and New Zealand developers, with presentations given by local VFP developers. http://www.ozfox.com.au/

New Fox Forward 2006 conference

A brand new VFP conference will be held in the North Atlanta suburb of Alpharetta. The conference is scheduled for September 15-17, 2006. Conference registration will start on March 21st, 2006. John Koziol plans to speak at Bucharest, Romania on March 25

John Koziol, well-known VFP developer who worked ad Microsoft VFP team for several years, is going to Bucharest to give an all-day talk on Saturday, March 25th. He will be speaking on tying Visual FoxPro into all of the latest MS technologies and will give a peek at the future.

Advisor Devcon 2006

Advisor Devcon on Microsoft Visual FoxPro is announced for August 27-31, 2006 in Phoenix, Arizona. Once again it supposed to be an expensive event at the top-level resort. http://advisorevents.com/
