>Don't trust the network news channels any more????? WOW!!!!
Perhaps I should have said "...a lot of what I hear on network TV...".

>Surely you aren't relying on CNN or Fox News or CNBC or ??? for your news! If you are then I'd guess that you aren't looking for "news" but rather for like-opinion.
If they have on someone I respect I listen.....
I like some show like Dennis Miller and even Bill Mahr (spelling?). Mostly because I think Bill is funny, even though I don't quite see things his way most of the time.

>And if you're relying on BLOGS or other internet "news sources" then I'd say you can find diametrically opposed items on just about anything, which in my mind says for certain that such is not "news".
I agree and yes, some I do read.

>I have to say that if people actually SAW, with their own eyes, how massive/destructive countless of these operations are they would quickly change their tunes. It's kinda like people who see a slaughterhouse in action. They come away with a totally different perspective of the meat they eat.
I've been to a slaughter house at Texas A&M University. Yeah, there's a reason why it's called a slaughter house. But it's about as humane and cost effective as you can get if you're a meat eater. Everything is quick and effecient.
