Please tell me why you would think that "but I find it rather ridicilious that at a VFP convention there are no less than 3 sessions on how to mirgrate AWAY from VFP to something else.".
When I look up jobs on Dice, Monster, etc., A large percentage of hits for Foxpro are to help migrate the app to .Net.

Generally when you goto a convention about programming in a specific language they don't have a bunch of classes on how to get rid of it! (unless it's about to become a thing of the past of course)
