A very bold statement. I don't see any reasons to go .NET if I cannot earn my money with VFP. Specializing in niche product on the average lets you earn more money than mainstream. What about Java, PHP, Python, Oracle ? Nothing to do with .NET at all all and all viable future jobs for anyone who want to leave VFP.

.NET is not the only answer to make a living. To be honest, most place I come do not even offer .NET jobs. Java and even old VB gives you a better chance. Way better is to specialize in certain areas like beeing a good database developer.
