Here is a post I made on profox@leafe.com [OT] mailing list in response to Stephen, which pretty well defines my position regarding the DeminionistRestoration Church and its Neo-Conservative Roots. Note, I do not know where Stephen stand religiously. I know I shouldn't be getting into politics or religion on Universal Thread, but indulge me this one post, and I will get off this topic.

Hi Stephen,

I have a problem with a Dominion/Restoration Church that teachings no longer even remotely resemble the true teaching of the Bible and Jesus Christ, and as such, is a false religion. The Dominion/Restoration Church is also corrupted by the evil teachings of Machiavelli and Leo Strauss, the Fathers of Neo-Conservatism, which condones secrecy, lies, and deception under a doctrine that the means justify the ends, and who are great manipulators of the Religious Righters movement. I also have a problem with a Church intent on overthrowing our American Democracy using subversive, seditious, secretive, and dangerous tactics to achieve domination of 245 million God loving, taxpaying, hard working honest Americans by 35 million Radical Religious Righters who have taken over the Republican party.

You really need to give more though to the virtues of separation of church and state.

I'm not too worried though; because, the God of the Bible still has total control and things will unfold based on Gods will, not Pat Robertson's distorted interpretation of the Bible according to how he would like things to be.
