With the majority of people believing that there's no morality outside of religion (which was one of the primary matters in my disupute with Doug Dodge few years ago), they have a carte blanche to do whatever they want, and the people will think they must be highly moral when they are oh so religious.

Look at the "culture of life" mantra that they're enforcing last few weeks. This comes from a guy who took no more than 20 minutes to decide to sign each of 152 orders to perform the death sentences. And this discrepancy goes unnoticed by the majority.

Can't resist to quote George Orwell: "Have you forgotten doublethink?". It really takes that sort of mental discipline to believe in one thing, and refuse to see whatever doesn't fit it.
