You can do really cool stuf with CSS and a good designer.
Take a look at this site
http://www.csszengarden.com/?cssfile=/163/163.css&page=0 . The "CSS Zen Garden" let you choose a style (skin) in a list and redisplay always the same page with the new selected style.
There is more than 160 styles in the site now.

>I think the root technique is with css style pages which are implemented in Front Page as well. If you google on "PHP, Skins, tutorial", you'll find pages that will describe the technique in PHP. Generically, it just requires a server side programming language and cookies and css templates.
