On the radio yesterday the newscaster made me laugh when he said that they were accepting orders for the Air Bus, but no United States Airline could afford to buy one, as they are all bankrupt! :)

On another note, Boeing announced orders were received from Air Canada, ($15 billion), Air India and it will announce an order from Northwest Airlines for its new 787 long-haul aircraft.

The Air Bus may never pay for itself. Estimates vary about the break-even point but $15 billion has been mentioned. These customers have been Air Bus customers in the past.

Air Bus has received one order. It would be interesting to know who that customer is.
