Quoting from UT message # 1007144:

"No, I do not think the customer is always right. If someone says there is some conspiracy between Microsoft and a media publication and I know it to be a false assumption, then I will correct the person (customer) to said it. I am the one who should (as was) offended in this case, not the customer. Beyond that, I've known Bill Anderson for 13 years both work related and personally, and he is a very smart guy but sometimes guesses at what goes on behind the scenes at Microsoft and is often wrong about them - and when he is and spreads something as a false rumor, I will attempt to correct it."

Since this statement hasn't been amended or retracted in nearly two weeks, I'm asking for a clarification.

You state "...I've known Bill Anderson for 13 years both work related and personally, and he...guesses at what goes on behind the scenes at Microsoft and is often wrong about them..."

Is the word "often" to indicate a high percentage or does it pertain to a sheer number of wrong postings?

Specifically indicate which postings of mine that pertain to Microsoft and that you find are "often wrong". Since your statement covers a 13 year period, there should be plenty of material.

I'd like to constructively discuss these specific instances in order to (1) Correct the behavior that you find objectionable (based on mutually agreed instances) or (2) Correct another serious misperception that has come directly from Microsoft.

This second statement is not without precedent. As indicated at http://leafe.com/archives/showMsg/180816, Bernard Wong, after stating he didn't know me, broke the ice by asking "So why do you hate .NET?".

As I indicate in the message, I don't hate .NET. As you may know, I've had a hand in the development of three different .NET user groups. As you do know, I've signed up and brought in many speakers to LA Fox whose first goal wasn't to educate the LA Fox members about Visual FoxPro, but to market .NET. Not only do I not hate .NET, I've supported it in many ways.

I look forward to discussing this matter with you.

Bill Anderson
