by not entering the sent box I meant if your program wanted acces to already sent emails or contact list etc then that method was no use, there is always the option of storing all the emails out into a text file but better than that, if you wanted to use this method to avoid the security boxes and still have a box with all the sent items then simply add a CC address to the address they are sent from and a rule in outlook to move all emails from "system email" or whatever you make them unique with, so they all go to a sent or a reports box automatically.

thats the way I do it.

someone should really just tell microsoft that the security box thing is a bad move, all they managed to do is break a lot of inhouse systems like ours causing us much work to get around them. to not add a button saying "this outlook is on a server which sends out automated reports" is madness.
