Thank you for your detailed explanation. But something does not work.

I got to the FileExplorer on the emulator, go to Open and enter:

\\notebook\C$\myfolder\

But the emulator comes back with the following message:
A device with the same name is already on the network. Tap Start >
Settings > System tab > Device ID tab > About, change your device
name and try again.
The device name in the Pocket PC is Pocket_PC. And the name of my PC is NOTEBOOK. Drive C is set to be shared with the shared name C$.
Can you see what I am missing?

Thank you.

At the bottom of the File Emulator screen tap Open. A dialog box will ask you for the Path you want to open. Enter the name of the pc and the folder that is shared e.g. "\\mypc\myfolder". The emulator should say contacting the server or something like that. It takes half a minute or so on my machine. You can then copy and past a file from the pc's folder to the emulator.
