Here's my recommendation to you - I know that you know Crystal Reports inside and out... What I would do is ask management (a-hem! frrrt!) to give you some quite time (maybe a day or two possibly even 3) and tackle some different level of reports you currently have implemented in Crystal Reports.

This will give an idea as to whether you feel the move to SQL Reporting is worth the time and effort.

With you're knowledge of Crystal Report I wouldn't even bother to ask for any comparisons but rather I would target specific strength that you know Crystal Reports has and ask if SQL Reporting is capable of doing the same.

Sort of a comparison (but not really).
