I think Rick Strahl wrote a white paper a few years back on using MS Office Web Components across the internet. If I remember correctly (don't get too excited, I'm not 100% sure if my memory is accurate here), there's a technique that would allow you to create those report card graphs via Excel across the internet. Or perhaps you could automate Excel, produce the equivalent graphs, copy to an image file, and serve up the image files vs. spreadsheets?

Perhaps someone else reading this thread will recognize what I'm talking about.
