I'm guessing that there is either a difference between Rose 4 and Rose 98, or the evaluation version, and the full version. The Properties submenu just doesn't appear under Tools as the Help file and you indicated. I can change the .pty for the current model by using the Model Properties submenu under Tools, but not the default.

I also tried changing the .PTY reference in Rose.ini to no avail either.
