This is actually in reaction to the answer of Alison from MS during the Online Chat re: VFP 6.0 feature:

Q. Security on FoxPro tables has been requested since 1.02. Will security on tables ever be added?

A. Answer from AllisonK_MS_ms:
Most likely not. If you would like security we suggest moving your data to SQL Server.

Why the need to acquire SQL Server if it is not necessary? What we badly needed is that MS should put a Password to open a Database/tables to avoid hackers to hack the data. It's all, but marketing strategy!!! Grrrrr.....
