Hello Malcom,

"Of course, anything I can do to confuse my users and insure a steady stream of support calls is good job security [evil grin]"

:)

"Actually, VFP does a great job of disabling the button borders and captions, but a crappy job (IMO) of rendering disabled images."

yes that's true ..

"Unfortunately, I don't have the artistic skills or budget to create a duplicate set of high quality disabled images to match my primary image collection."

I remember at the time i was working for my former employee i had/took the responsibility to write AppFramework, dataclasses, database scripts for 4 different DBMS's (MsSQL,MySQL,Oracle & FoxPro) and ...
if you've to handle 3 or 4 complicated task's interfered this can get your brain into rotation very quick, so whenever i felt outburned i got my brain a break and started Windows Paint to produce greyscale duplicates from our iconset .. :)

sure MS Paint has not much painting features, but since i hadn't the time to make myself comfortable with Paintshop/Gimp. Paint was just there, easy to use and fullfilled my needs just perfectly.

I produced greyscales with black, white and 2 grey colors that looked really good when i actually saw them in the application .. I think noone would ever had thought that i made these with MS Paint :) ..

Regards
Christian

PS: I'll answer your email tomorrow!
