You could also create borderless shapes that cover the tabs that you want to appear invisible. Not a real fancy hack, but the appearance would be just as you desire without having to remove/add the pages. When a page is to appear invisible, set the page to disabled, bring the shape up in front of the pageframe's zorder, make sure the shape's backcolor is the same as the pageframe's parent's (form or whatever) backcolor, and then make the shape visible. You get the idea.
