Perry,
>The level of technical discourse on the UT is very, very, very low when compared with other forums.
I don't quite agree that on the whole technical discussions have degraded. There are only certain threads, when certain people get involved (which is happening way to often the last couple of months) does a thread go into the technical toilet.
>Now, the same scene is played over and over.
As Barney Fife used to say: "Nip it! Nip it in the bud."
We should all do what we can to terminate the BS and keep the discourse moving along productive lines.
>There are those of us who know we must learn, that is the nature of the beast of IT. Yet I don't feel the UT is a good place for those type of discussions. As I mentioned before, you are one of the few left here who can capably carry on a discussion a at level higher then "how to display a grid".
99.999% of the people here on the UT are indeed here to learn, we should try and remember that.
