That is, indeed, good news.

There's the part that will give some people heartburn -- what will they call it? It sounds from Ken's message like they will be adding some significant features or improvements in how VFP works with other technologies, and that's got to be a good thing, even if it's not called VFP 10 (increasingly likely to be the case based on all avoidance of version number promises and consistent statements about "how we enhance VFP beyond version 9" and "what it will be called and how it will be packaged" (paraphrased slightly, as I'm going from memory).

Adding more years to VFP's life through improving it re upcoming OS, SQL Server, .NET technologies sounds to me like a sound approach.

We'll all know for sure in a few weeks...
