I have a VPF 7 application that runs on a peer-to-peer Windows XP network. I was just installed on a new network set up over the weekend but it will not work correctly. I have nothing to do with the network installation but I suspect that is where the problem lies. We have run it in this configuration many times with no difficulty.

I'm getting this information third hand so please bear with me.

What happens is this as far as I can ascertain..

When the application is accessed from one of the workstations, they get the "Resouce file is not valid - overwite with new empty one?" message. Which ever choice they make it appears to work. After login, it comes up with error "Cannot update cursor". Then if try to update any files, get message "Record is read only". We have checked the properties of the files and they are NOT read-only. What else should we check? Are there settings somewhere that we should look at?
