Don't quite follow - the sample you've given doesn't exhibit truncation, rather the text is wrapped to the next line.
Notwithstanding, WAG Why is the field Float? Do you not want its top to be in line with other data, or is its posn. in the detail line dependent on the size of other data? If "no" to these can you try it as not float?
