The computer is neither connected to LAN or to a dialup connection.

Do you think any of the settings in Check Tools|Internet Options|Connections could affect a localhost webpage?

Anything in particular I should look at in the LAN Settings?

I wish he was connected because then I could remote desktop to his computer, but then we probably wouldn't even have this problem.<s>
