But with more than 100 clients we cannot go and install GENERIC Driver and difficult to train them to set every time it as default printer when printing using our package .

Is there any way to preview the report generated through report writer and then we could take it to a .TXT file.

We tried REPORT FORM TEST.FRX TO TEST.TXT
So our user can get exact visual idea of the report being printed with all sort of formatting like bold, compression etc..

But the TEST.TXT file contains all sorts of default printer codes ...
so is there any way to remove all this codes and just get the DATA into the .txt file.
then we could print it off using COPY TO command. We will encode the esc codes in the data for the bold, compression etc. effects.
