Sorry, I do not understand what you mean. The OnComm event will fire when data arrives to the COMM port, you put whatever code you want in there, what do you want to do with the EVENTHANDLER, I did not read that in your question, so I do not understand you now, you were trying to put a COMM object without any container, that gives you an error that you can avoid by putting the object in a form.
