I suppose that's one way to look at it. As Ken stated, it would serve no useful purpose to officially state that "there will be no VFP 10", and in fact would be a disservice to the VFP community. That would likely spawn the most press that VFP has had in its history.

Here's another way to look at it. From what I gather, Sedna will be a significant effort from the VFP team, and it will contain at least as much content as previous upgrades. This time, the focus is on interop with other platforms, instead of IDE and core VFP enhancements. Since Sedna contains components that will sit on top of VFP, VS 2005, .NET Framework, etc., it probably won't make sense to call it VFP 10, but that doesn't make it any less significant. What is significant, IMO, is that Microsoft continues to create tools aimed squarely at VFP developers, and VFP 9 is not the end of the road.

The roadmap indicates that interop will be the primary focus for the next few years. That takes us at least as far as the .NET roadmap. Beyond that, who knows what will happen?
