The Avalon thing is great but it depends on a lot of factors before people will be comfortable with it ie. tool support. Don't get me wrong I think Avalon is way cool and is as significant for the desktop GUI as Pixel/Vertex shaders are to the GPU and games but I think its a huge jump for people to deal with and we need something a little more shortterm to bolster our VFP applications today.
