Is it possible to amend application project elements (e.g. programs and forms) within VFP9, compile it within VFP9 and run it on PCs with VFP7 runtimes? I have not at this stage used any 'new' features. I would like to distribute the new exe without going through reinstallation. Although I still have VFP7, it is not installed on my current PC, but on one which is not usually fired up (and isn't on a network). I hope not to have to duplicate the amendments on the old machine, recompile...

Mike,

If you compile it in VFP 9, you will need to include the VFP 9 run time files. See http://fox.wikis.com/wc.dll?Wiki~VFP9RuntimeFiles for a list of the files.

Jim
