>I just read someone (in a VB forum) saying that a programmer who used a lot of bound controls needed some mentoring/brought up to speed w/what other programmers do. Since I think it's easier to follow a conversation in U-T, I thought I'd ask here instead. What exactly is the problem with bound controls? It seems like they give you the most flexible type of interfacing. If you need to make a change, just change the data. You don't have to mess with hard coded controls.

Paul,
I cannot speak to what was said in the VB forum. However, I don't see a problem with bound controls with the exception that, when using a controlsource in a
class, you are forcing the use of a certain field name. This can be a problem under certain circumstances.
However, having said that, 98% of the time I use control sources. So, I really do not know what their issue is.
