Dmitry,
Thank you very much for your thoughts on the subject. I don't what the file transfer to happend automatically when ActiveSync is started, but I want it initiated from the PPC app (a big button that says transfer files <s>).
I must say that I am starting to change my mind, maybe the transfer should be initiated by the PC.
One nice thing with Palm was that after the custom DLL that was running from HotSync had completed the transfer it ran another PC program that parsed through the data file (we used a binary file then) and put it into it's propper place in the database. Now if I want the transfer to be initiated from the PPC I would need a service on the PC to look for such file to put it into it's database. If the transfer is initiated from the PC there is no need for a service.
Good thing it is only Saturday, I've got all day Sunday to ponder this <s>
Again thank you for taking the time to discuss this with me.

Sincerely,
Einar
