You can't imagine how hacked off the Rangers fans are over this. No apology at all, a suspension WITH pay that amounts to only about 4 or 5 starts, a $50k fine that he just recouped from the Rangers because he gets a $50k bonus for making the All-Star team.

For the second year in a row, 3 of "our" 4 infielders made the All-Star team (Blalock still might be selected). Even with Soriano, the Rangers have one of the finest infields in all of MLB. Too bad we have stolen some village's prized idiot.

Hey, Mark,

I haven't been able to see any fan reaction outside of Philadelphia regarding this, but I don't doubt how the Texas fans would feel.

For Rogers to even be eligible for the All-Star Game is pretty sad. This points out how much more of an example David Stern wants to set in his sport - had Rogers pulled this in the NBA, the penalty would have been stiffer.

Texas is definitely a team in the right direction. They have a number of young bombers, and are fun to watch.
