Actually, I agree with you semi-sort of completely. I'm with Tracy in that I found the joke very funny. OTOH, I feel kinda guilty about that because the underlying caricature is kind of mean-spirited. OTOH, many caricatures have some foundation in reality. OTOH, I get upset when my ethnic background is the subject of a mean-spirited joke. OTOH, I like several of those jokes that are truely funny.

What I really like are ethnic jokes that can transcend ethnicity.

When my brother was in service he would tell the jokes by pointedly staring at his target's nametag and making it obvious he was selecting that nationality as a catch-all. It seemed to work for him until someone said "NO NO! That's an Italian joke!" Now I tell all my ethnic jokes as the one about the X, the Y, and the programmer.

Did you hear the one about the Poles and the Programmers? Both groups were tired of being the butt of jokes. They decided to have a football game. The winners would get a reprieve and all the jokes would now be about the losers.

They played the game in some factory town and neither team could gain more than a couple of yards. At about 5:00 a factory whistle blew. The Poles thought it was the end of the game and left the field. Four plays later, the Programmers scored.

>Honestly, I really didn't care what Fuzzy said regarding Tiger. That's their business.

>>Does this mean Fuzzy Zoeller can start talking about the menu at the Master's dinner again?

>>>Yeah, me too. Sometimes, funny is just funny.

>>>>>AP and UPI reported that the French Government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "run" to "hide." The only two higher levels in France are "surrender" and "collaborate." The raise was precipitated by the recent fire which destroyed one of Frances' white flag factories, disabling their military.
