Alex,
I started out talking about VFP-style cursors and encountered quite a few people who reacted vigorously to "VFP" and "cursor", seemingly without grasping the underlying concept. I don't lay claim to the "Persistent autospanning local datasets" term (who cares where it came from) but it does seems to allow discussion of a feature that has been taken for granted by Foxers since the FP2 days and would be a real boost for dotNET.
"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
