>>I envision a world which has finally created the teleportion (beam me up, Scotty) box. based on the laws of physics as we know them now.

Perhaps investigation into faster than light travel will produce a multi-dimensional physics which will allow teleportion. Perhaps we will discover a way to completely suspend time while an object is moving from one location to another.

For those of a religious bent, perhaps God will rewrite the Laws of Physics.

At any rate, I am leery of ever saying anything is impossible.
