Getting a handle on all but the simplest SQL-Select statements is not simple, guys. Figuring out how to get views to work with grids, navigation bars, and table updates is tough. Worth it, definately, in many cases. But not so important in others. Heresy, I know. Oh well. It's jolly fun just learning oop and _using_ it. I'd like to encourage people who are perhaps still making the transition to the visual world, to consider not throwing everything they know out the window right away.

Nancy,

I'm a " views for nearly everything" sort of guy. But as you said there are serious limitations in the VFP view designers. That's why I'm using xCase. I could not imagine maintaining the sort of apps I'm writing without it.
