You are right about the paraty between terrorism and drugs and cancer. But with the terrorist, if we just do the one thing they have been asking for; "U.S. (Western society), leave us along!". They hate us because we are constainly imposing our way on them. IMO What if we did leave them along. Would cut us off from their exports? That would not help them at all. But think you are right about one think. It not about the war on terrorism, it is about "keeping the citizens nervious and worried."
