Here we go again. When Maher Arar (an innocent Canadian citizen) was sent by the U.S. to Syria to be tortured for about a year, I have a sneaking feeling he felt it was something more than a 'little inconvenience'. I'd be willing to bet good money that if it happened to you, you'd also call it more than a 'little inconvenience'. It's only seen as that when it happens to other people. And it's completely disingenuous to pretend that it's no big deal as long as it's not happening to you.
