I have an idea for - hold on tight to the rational portion of your brain - a round monitor. Either 360 degrees left to right, or a globe. I don't have the chops to figure out the technical side, but I can see it in my mind as a finished product from a user standpoint. You heard it here first... :-D

I think multiple desktops are very useful... first ran into this on a linux box. All of it is very interesting and seems to me that there is still a ton of innovation to be had in this area. For instance... the work that is being done by t-immersion with dfusion is pretty interesting. They call the technology Augmented Reality.
