Tried to give you a star but UT says no in Chatter.

Anyway, I started the utility up and it said that it would handle Win98, so I was away to the races.

After 3 hours (I said the old system was a klunker < s >) the thing ended, reporting that only a single printer could not be "transferred". Of course I was delighted... untuil I went to the desktop and found that the SimplyAccounting application was nowhere to be found.

I checked the drive and did find that the application's data had been transferred (that should be helpful) but no sign of the application executable(s?) in C:\Program files.
Unfortunately, it was quitting time for the person, so I will go back tomorrow and investigate further.

Definitely saved considerable hassle, but not sure yet if the main objective was accomplished.

To all who replied... THANKS

cheers

>Assuming they're upgrading to XP, try the Files and Settings Transfer Wizard. I was pleasantly surprised (read: STUNNED) when I bought a new box and didn't have to do a single reinstall. All data was right where I intended it to be, email configurations, registry settings, etc., all of it was just right.
