Living here for six years I've come to believe that there are four countries within the USA: California, Texas, New York City and The Rest Of It.

Both the differences and the similarities are in the places where you least expect them. Comparing my people with the US, I was surprised to realize how deep we share the love towards good barbecue, and then how our definitions of a good one differ :). Same goes for beer.
