>>>Hi All,
>>>
>>>I'm develop several report using the report writer. These reports are using pre-printed forms of various lengths. One form is 8 1/2 x 10 1/2 and the other is 8 1/2 x 7. My question is what do I have to do in order to change the page length so the top of form matches my pre-printed forms. Please Help. Thanks in advance.

>>There are commands available within FP to adjust page length. I think U need to check _PLENGTH, I think. It has been sometime since I needed to do that sort of stuff. Also, back in my old DOS days, I sent out printer codes directly to the printer via "???". What evironment are U in: DOS or Windows? This process may be easier in DOS. Modifing the Windows printer setup may require the use of a third party library or custom C+ routine to update a Win API. Also, what platform are U running on. That may also be an issue. Well, htwh. >Hi Guys,
>I appreciated the quick response to my situation. These reports are written in FPW 2.6 (windows). using a dot matrix printer that doesn't apprear to have a page length to match these pre-printed forms. I hope that I don't have to redo these reports using the ?? or @says.

I encountered the same problem a few weeks ago. The most convenient way for me was to have selected the User Defined Paper Size in the Printer Setup dialog box. Of course, the size would be predifined to match the size of your form. The common dot matrix printer drivers let you do that. It is still a little bit of a problem because the user has to define the paper size in advance. I'm still loking for a better work around this problem.
