I'm not folowing why yu would want to add the current date to the comments already there. So, I am assuming that you want people to put comments in the cells and that when they do, it also puts the current date in the cell as well.

If so, yes you can do that. However, you would not do it by inserting a comment. You would do it by having the user run a macro. The macro could open a dialog box asking them to type their comment, then have the macro add that comment along with the date as a comment in the cell.

If that isn't what you're talking about, let me know.
