With each new release of ReFox, there are people that have this same complaint - it's been going on for years.
Everyone here already knows how I feel about ReFox's business practices...so I'm just going to leave my comments at that.....

A week later, version 11 was released. Of course, when we bought version 10, we had NO idea a new version was about to be released. Since we were not dealing with an "emergency", we would have gladly waited the extra week to get the latest version.

Buyer beware. Not the first time I have found myself in this situation.... just the first time the manufacturer's response was basically "aww, that's too bad you got hosed.... sucks to be you". Sure leaves a bad taste in your mouth!
