PLEASE HELP ME OUT THIS IS THE MOST SERIOUS PROBLEM I'VE EVER FACED...

I've developed an Application using VFP7 and MS-SQL-Server. This application is used by more than one user doing heavy transactions (one memo can contain more than 1000 records - basically they are stock transfer memoes). Now the system is facing a serious problem of data locking.. if a single user saves a memo containing about 1000 records it takes hardly 4-5 seconds, but if two users do the same it takes hell lot of time ( about 15-20 minutes ).

How to overcome with this problem...
