It's probably because of our very groovy <s> column auto-resize feature. Rather than having to set up the exact width of each column to fill a grid, when the mmDataGrid's AutoResizeColumns property is true (the default). At run time, the grid columns are resized to fill the grid. If you want to turn off this behavior, just set the AutoResizeColumns property to false.
