Sure, there are other more important battles. This is not such a big or urgent issue at this time. But it has to be dealt with at some point. Else we can always have an excuse to break laws. If we are contradicting the Constitution in one issue, why not in another? Read about Prohibition for example. Or Civil Rights issues until 1964. Etc.
