>>>Okay, I've reread it all. Still not sure what you're implying, but I think you think that religious people have an advantage when it comes to good parenting. If that's your opinion, then I say: NONSENSE.

You question religious people about parenting. So you have to know that there are advantages gained from seeking wisdom, guidance, and favor from God. With my beliefs I know that I am not alone in any situation I go though as a parent. So if you want a real advantage then that is what I can offer you.
"As for me and my house we will serve the Lord". It is a quote from the Bible.

>>And in the "scientifically based books", I would bet you that a Mom and a Dad are not required either. If you are going to base your parenting on science then good luck.

>I suppose that you have kids AND a wife. If so, what will be the situation if you loose your wife, e.g. due to an accident or a disease? Will that be the beginning of bad parenting in your house?

I entered into parenting with a wife, so I beleive in the structure a Mom and a Dad bring to raising a child. So I suppose after a time of grief (God forbid), I would find another who will be my companion (until death do us part) and help me raise the kids. Now you may get a different story if you put in the condition that my kids are all grown and out of the house. Then I will be content in knowing that someday I will see my wife again and probably finish my life observing the potential grandkids.
