I like a good, firm "Dunlopillo" as the base, with a feather for moulding to the head. A cushion with 2 tennis balls in a sock for mastoid support is what I use for reading or TV - also relieves any neck tension - I'd highly recommend it.

We don't have that expression - comforter - some sort of bedspread? Ever tried a duvet? Difficult to go back afterwards. As I say, the vast maj. of Brits have duvets. And they've been around since the 7os.
