Jimmy, this is NOT a Windows problem, this is cause by ROXIO uninstall program. I remember one time I should Reinstall the Windows because of it, windows installer is smallest error you can get. You could download windows installer from microsoft site and reinstall it to see what happens. Also I think in UNSTALL procedure ROXIO removes some shared controls that are used by other application.
