Hi Gene,

My concern here is with the delicacy of .dbf indexes when
power supply issues impact on a client site's operations.
Since client server data updates are always well wrapped
in transactions, recovery is more reliable than in the
average VFP app. Instability of indexes due to power
problems was an issue brought up by others on this forum
recently under the thread regarding VFP 6.0 not giving us
what we want.

I have run into these corruption problems when UPS' are not
used and the client's electrical circuits are overloaded.

I am basically trying to get corroboration of this assumption
about the relationship between index corruption and electrical
power instability.

Thanks for your input.
